Ah, the eternal question..........



Well hay thar! I'm HisGoldenEyes, but you can call me HGE. I'm a girl, and a huge fan of Twilight, Guns N' Roses, David Cook, and of course, Danny Gokey!!


I was a Word Nerd from the top 24 last season. I pegged David to be the winner, and what'cha know, I was right! I'm usually good at those things. The past 4 seasons I've watched, including this one, because I started watching in season 4, I have been right about every one! Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, David Cook.....well, okay, I admit, Jordin Sparks winning pulled a one-up on me. I really liked Blake Lewis, too. Ah well. Past is past. But for the first time ever, I pegged a winner right from the beginning--usually I wait until top 24-12 when the talent is thinned out enough so that personalities actually stand out and aren't an overlapping hot mess, haha--and it was Danny Gokey!!

I think it was the "whole package" deal he's got goin' on. He's good looking, smart, funny, incredibly talented..... For me, it was his sad backstory that softened me to him, and then finding he's from Milwaukee, only a few miles south of where I live, which made me root for him, and then his incredible VOICE just sealed the deal with a sweet kiss. Having somebody so AMAZING as Danny, who's actually from my homestate and ACTUALLY has a chance of giving Wisconsin a victory, and putting us on the map for something other than crappy sports teams, beer and cheese, was as good a deal as I was ever gonna get, and boy, is it a sweet deal indeed!

I joined this site because 1) I needed somebody to share my Danny-obsession with, 2) I couldn't keep my thoughts to myself on how awesome he is, and 3) I always wanted to join DCO, but since it was pretty established, post-finale after I found it, I decided not to. I just didn't want to get lost in the madness. Then I found this site, and I decided to jump on the bandwagon early. Woot to the woot!


Every week, I vote a minimum of 200 times for Danny, and my record so far was over 500 last week on disco night. The closer the finale gets, the more obvious it is that it's gonna be a Gokey-Lambert Showdown-In-Ghostown, fight-to-the-finish finale of epic proportions! I like Adam, all right, but I mean..... Yeah. He's a little too emo-looking for my tastes. He's good, but he has a future on Broadway, not Idol. Stick to the stage, kid! (Plus, his website is very scary, emo-looking, if ya know what I mean, jellybeans. This site is much better, brighter, prettier, nicer and cleaner!!) And I can't let Adam win!!!!! NONONONONONONONONONONONONO!!!! That would be Utter Devastation to the Highest Degree!!!


My dream right now is to buy my own ticket to the tour this summer--I didn't get to go last summer, and I'm still mad about that! My mom and I said we wanted to go, and we were going to, but we argued about ticket prices and whatnot, and the days slid by until it was past, and it never really worked out--aaarrgh!! I still haven't forgiven her for that, so this year she owes me!! *glares at mom* But yes, I'm majorly excited to see him.


Oh yeah, and I'm excited to get a hamster. So, that's me. Take me or leave me! <3
